15AC-153 was manufactured in 1948. In fall of 2018, it was advertised for sale on the internet and described as follows: Airframe total time 2316.5 hours. Engine C-145-2 with 146.4 hours SMOH. Wheel landing gear and EDO 2000 floats.
At the time, Robert Spangler inspected it and sent us the following lines:
"I have been looking for a Sedan to buy and plan to fly it on floats up in Alaska and down in the lower 48 states. I came across N1142H for sale in New York state and went to look at it. It needed some work, though, and I would rather have the 180 hp engine. Thought, you would like the pictures for your collection."
