15AC-173 – C-GSAN (17)

A 1948 Sedan with the 180 hp Lycoming Monahan (now Burl Rogers) conversion and EDO 2000 floats.

According to the logbooks, the plane left the factory in July 1948 as N1160H (See photo N1160H_01), sold to Ray Dittman, then sold to C. Miller in 1955. In November 1957, it appears to have been sold to W.B. Zoglewan. In 1964, it was put into commercial service, pilot was Doug Paddock. The log entries are very sketchy until October 15, 1984, when the plane was sold to R. Denham Pierce by Andrew Dosztan. At some time, the airplane was purchased by R. Kitrine in upstate New York. He sold it to Ron Bathaw in 1995/96 and Ron changed the registration to N15AC. Bob McDevitt purchased the plane in May 2000, had it on EDO 2000 floats, based at Clear Lake, Muskoka, Ontario, Canada, during the summers, and hangared at Parry Sound airport (CNK4), during the winter months. In April 2013, Bob sold it on to new owners who have it based at Kenora, Ontario, Canada, where photo C-GSAN_16 was taken.
