This 1948 Sedan, powered by a 180 hp engine, had recently undergone a total ground-up wing restoration with new spar caps at Norland Aircraft Services Ltd. at the Head Lake Seaplane Base, Ontario, Canada, in June 2012 (photos 01-14). At the same time, wing inspection covers were installed according to the FAA's Airworthiness Directive.
In 2014, Morgan Williams, owner of 15AC-315, C-FNYL, sent us additional pictures and information about C-FVJY: Its current owner is Joe Bailey who has it based on scenic Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada. Photo 16 is very unique: Four Aeronca Sedans, all with 180 hp engines, moored to the same dock! Penetanguishene, Ontario, is most likely the only place in the world, where such a thing can be seen. The planes are CF-DDH, C-FNYL, C-FKWA and C-FVJY (showcased here). Owners Brant Bergstrome, Morgan Williams, Norm and Joe Bailey, frequently enjoy flying their Sedans together.
