With a wingspan of only 35-1/4" and a flying weight of 17 Oz. this is probably the smallest flying scale model of a Sedan.
From the 1930s to the early 60s, Berkeley produced many balsa wood kits of excellent quality. Thanks to their scale realism and construction as well as their flying qualities they still are sought-after collector's and builder's items, today.
The model pictured in photos 02-05 was built by Gary Gullikson. Originally intended for rubber, gas or CO2 propulsion for free-flight or control-line, Gary equipped the model with a modern electric motor and micro radio control components. Nice job, Gary!
Photos 06-08 showcase a Berkeley Sedan with a modified engine cowling and scale paint scheme, perfectly representing its full size counterpart, 15AC-276, in front of which it posed for our camera, in September 2009.
