Russell Harness' 1949 Sedan, based in Oregon, was used by Micro AeroDynamics Inc. during the FAA certification process for their Micro Vortex Generators (Micro VGs). On the Sedan the VGs are installed on top of the wings, on the underside of the horizontal stabilizer and on the vertical stabilizer. They improve the airplane's slow-flight characteristics. Today, Micro AeroDynamics Inc. offers an FAA STC approved kit for the Aeronca/Rogers 15AC and S15AC Sedan. For detailed information please refer to their website: Micro AeroDynamics Inc.
